Leading-edge technology plays a significant role in helping us provide safe, high-quality dentistry. Any equipment in which we invest must help us improve the comfort and efficiency of your procedures and ensure positive long-term outcomes.

We hope to see you at our Castle Pines dental office soon, but until then, please browse through the amazing technology we currently offer.

Nitrous Oxide

Your comfort is our priority, and we offer nitrous oxide because there’s no reason to experience anxiety at the dental office. Also called laughing gas, nitrous is a safe and gentle form of sedation. Administering the gas through a small breathing mask in controlled amounts takes the edge off of your anxiety only for the duration of your procedure.

As soon as we turn off the nitrous flow and replace it with pure oxygen, your mind will clear, and in a few minutes, you will feel completely awake and refreshed. You will be able to drive yourself home safely, and most patients don’t experience any drowsy side effects afterward.

Nitrous oxide is an effective way to relieve your anxiety and is so safe and mild that we even use it to help children relax.

Intraoral Cameras

Intraoral cameras allow our dentists to give you a visual tour of your mouth during a dental exam. Instead of us telling you what we see, all we do is use this small camera to scan your teeth. As we do, you’ll see the images instantly appear on your chairside monitor. There’s no more guessing about what your dentist is referring to because you can clearly see the problem for yourself.

Just like your dental x-rays, we store the still images of your intraoral exam in your patient record, so they are easily accessible as needed.

Laser Dentistry

At Scheich Family Dentistry, we are pleased to offer our patients the comfort of gentle, non-invasive laser dentistry. Dental lasers cut down on post-treatment recovery times for procedures like gingivectomies around dental crowns and cosmetic gum recontouring.

With laser dentistry, we can pinpoint the area we’re treating, which allows us to take a more conservative treatment approach. Non-invasive laser procedures also result in minimal bleeding, faster recovery, and improved long-term outcomes.

Digital X-Rays & Digital Sensors

We use dental x-rays to detect cavities and gum disease that we can’t always see with a visual exam. Dentists can’t treat what they can’t see, and having current x-ray images ensures that we deliver the safest and most appropriate treatment.

With digital x-rays, we reduce your radiation exposure by as much as 80 percent compared to traditional film x-rays. We also use flat, comfortable digital sensors instead of the plastic clips you’re probably used to having in your mouth. The high quality of the images taken with sensors also enables us to detect and diagnose cavities early on while they are still easy to treat.

Digital x-rays include you in the decision-making process. When we display the images on your chairside monitor, you can easily see the problem and why we recommend treatment.

Your x-rays also become an invaluable part of your patient record and are easily accessible at a moment’s notice.
