How can we help you?
Years of experience have shown us that patients who feel informed about their dental needs tend to experience better oral health and fewer problems in the long term. That's why patient education is at the heart of everything we do at Scheich Family Dentistry, and why we welcome and encourage you to ask us questions. Sharing your concerns with us informs us about your oral health priorities and how we can best serve your dental and overall needs.
We've shared some of the questions we hear most often from our patients, and we welcome your call or email if there's something on your mind that you don't see answered here.
At Scheich Family Dentistry, we are pleased to accept all indemnity insurance plans as well as many PPO plans at our Castle Pines dental office, including:
- Anthem Blue Cross
- Companion Life
- Delta Dental
- Sun Life
- United Concordia
- United Healthcare
Most PPO plans are also indemnity plans where you are free to see any dentist you want. This means that we provide the dental care you need and then process your insurance claim for you on your behalf.
Even though you may not see us on your list of providers, the coverage is still the same in many cases. Our dental team will call and confirm your dental coverage before your visit and will also submit and process your claim for you.
Uninsured? We Offer CareCredit Financing!
If you are uninsured and looking for a way to make the cost of dental care more manageable, we also offer CareCredit financing. Once you’re approved for CareCredit—the process takes only minutes—you can use it the same day. Using CareCredit allows you to extend the time needed to pay for your treatment over several months, and if you make all your payments on time, you won’t have to pay any interest.
Call Us with Your Insurance Questions
Our goal at Scheich Family Dentistry is to make every aspect of your experience with us as easy and stress-free as possible. If you have questions about your dental benefits or don’t see your insurance listed here, please don’t hesitate to call our Castle Pines dental office.
Dental Exams & Cleanings
According to guidelines established by the American Dental Association, adults and children should have dental cleanings and exams with a trained hygienist every six months. This timing is ideal for staying current with your oral health needs and receiving treatment to prevent minor issues from becoming major problems.
Customized Dental Cleanings in Castle Pines
At Scheich Family Dentistry, we customize your teeth cleaning schedule to meet your needs. If you have healthy teeth and gums and no history of gum disease, cleanings every six months are ideal.
However, if you are prone to cavities and gingivitis, we may recommend cleanings three or more times a year. The reason is that even mild gum disease can advance quickly. When we see you more frequently for cleanings, we have the best chance of staying a step ahead of the disease.
Are You Due for Your Next Teeth Cleaning?
We know that you’re busy, and finding time for dental appointments can sometimes seem impossible. However, investing the time in two cleaning appointments a year is much easier than making multiple trips to our office to deal with problems that could have been avoided.
If you’re due for your next teeth cleaning, please call our Castle Pines dental office and speak with a member of our team to schedule a convenient appointment.
Gum or periodontal disease is a bacterial infection that attacks the structures that support your teeth, including your gums and jawbone. The sooner our Castle Pines dentists catch and treat gum disease, the better it is for your oral health.
Without treatment, a gum infection continues to spread and worsen, gradually destroying supporting structures and eventually causing tooth loss.
Gingivitis (Mild Gum Disease) Treatment
In its earliest stage, gum disease is called gingivitis. Gingivitis treatment in Castle Pines involves a thorough dental cleaning to remove all the plaque and tartar that has collected on your teeth and below the gum line.
During the cleaning, our hygienist looks for problem areas where you need to focus your oral hygiene efforts and provides helpful tips for getting the most out of your brushing and flossing routine.
Periodontitis (Advanced Gum Disease) Treatment
If we don’t treat gingivitis promptly, it will advance to periodontitis. The first step in treating periodontitis is a non-surgical approach called scaling and root planing.
Scaling involves carefully removing built-up plaque and tartar from your tooth surfaces, and planing smoothes the root surfaces of your teeth. This step removes rough spots where bacteria can collect and helps promote reattachment of gum tissue to the roots.
Your hygienist may additionally prescribe oral or topical antibiotics to further protect you against infection. In extreme cases, gum surgery may be needed.
Do You Have Bleeding or Swollen Gums?
Are your gums red and inflamed or bleed easily when you brush? You may need gum disease treatment at our Castle Pines, CO dental office, and we’re here to help. Please call us to arrange an appointment so we can get started.

A Virtually Invisible Tooth Repair
At Scheich Family Dentistry, we offer strong and durable tooth-colored composite fillings. When the filling material is placed on your tooth, it becomes virtually invisible, thanks to a blend of materials that give it a natural-looking translucent appearance. We further customize the filling to match the tooth we’re treating, and the result is a virtually invisible repair.
Tooth-colored fillings also allow our dentists to perform a more conservative repair and keep intact as much of your tooth as possible. Rather than creating a large space into which we place the filling, we remove only the decayed portion and then bond the composite directly to the remaining tooth structure.
Cosmetic Dental Bonding
Since tooth-colored filling material looks so realistic, we also use it for a cosmetic dental procedure called bonding. In this case, we use the composite to fill in chipped and broken teeth, reduce wide gaps between teeth, and give a tooth an entirely new appearance.

Porcelain veneers are a versatile treatment that our cosmetic dentists use to resolve several aesthetic smile flaws. Veneers look just like your natural teeth, and once they are placed, people won’t be able to tell that you’ve had work done – they will only notice your beautiful smile!
How We Use Porcelain Veneers in Castle Pines
At our Castle Pines dental office, we can use porcelain veneers to conceal numerous cosmetic dental flaws, including:
- Cracked or broken teeth
- Wide gaps or uneven spacing
- Stained or discolored tooth enamel
- Minor tooth alignment issues
Dental veneers are ultra-thin slices of porcelain that our dentists bond securely to the front surfaces of your teeth. Dental porcelain is the perfect material for veneers because it stands up well to daily wear-and-tear and closely resembles the translucency of tooth enamel.
We have the flexibility to custom color-match the shade of your veneers to surrounding teeth to ensure that they blend seamlessly with the rest of your smile.
